Lancing was a good session, onshore but with enough cross that you could head almost straight out to sea if you pushed it upwind. On the return leg you could almost sail parallel to the beach so it was the best of both worlds. Waves were clean enough for a bit of clew first riding. Quite nice actually, also had a few substantial backside whacks and plenty of jumping. Sailing back to the beach, the sea was super flat between the waves so you could drag a few fingers in the water, no random chop at all. If it swings 10-15 degrees to the west it could be a cracker tomorrow, get in as near to high tide as possible as the waves dropped off towards the low tide.
